Peter Wilt, basically known as a soccer franchise God to Chicagoans, not only points out the biggest flaws in WPS, but, unlike anyone else, provides a detailed suggestion of how to sustain a women’s pro league in the US.
Anyone think this could work? It wouldn’t be good for a lot of careers because of the slashing of money involved, but women’s soccer in the U.S. really does need to start somewhere that isn’t the NCAAs and be sustainable.
